KAMPARBUG Pickleball Tournament – Fact Sheet
This tournament is strictly open to Kampar residents, individuals working full-time in Kampar, and students currently studying in Kampar. Students who have recently completed their studies before May 2026 remain eligible, subject to organiser verification. Participants may be required to provide proof of residence, employment, or student status upon request.

2. Categories
- Men’s Doubles: 24 Teams
- Women’s Doubles: 16 Teams
- Mixed Doubles: 24 Teams
Total Capacity: 64 Teams
3. Tournament Schedule
- Morning Session: Men’s Doubles & Women’s Doubles (Group Stage)
- Afternoon Session: Mixed Doubles (Group Stage)
- Final Session: Knockout Rounds, Semi-Finals, and Finals
4. Eligibility
- This tournament is strictly open to Kampar residents, individuals working full-time in Kampar, and students currently studying in Kampar. Students who have recently completed their studies before May 2026 remain eligible, subject to organiser verification. Participants may be required to provide proof of residence, employment, or student status upon request.
- Each team’s combined DUPR rating must not exceed 6.6.
- The latest DUPR rating at the registration closing date will be used for verification.
- Teams exceeding the DUPR limit will not be eligible to participate.
- In cases where a player does not possess a DUPR rating, the Organizer reserves the right to assign an estimated rating.
- The Organizer reserves the right to review and determine player eligibility to ensure fair competition.
- Participants under the age of 18 must provide written parental or guardian consent.
5. Game Format
- All matches will be played to 21 points (rally scoring)
- No deuce shall be applied
- At 20–20, a sudden death point will determine the winner
- Teams shall switch sides upon reaching 11 points
6. Tournament Format
Men’s Doubles
- 24 teams divided into 6 groups of 4 teams
- Round Robin format (each team plays 3 matches)
Advancement:
- Top 2 teams from each group advance (12 teams)
- Top 4 seeded teams receive a bye into the Quarterfinals
Knockout Stage:
- Round of 12 → Quarterfinals → Semi-Finals → Final
Women’s Doubles
- 16 teams divided into 4 groups of 4 teams
- Round Robin format
Advancement:
- Top 2 teams from each group advance (8 teams)
Knockout Stage:
- Quarterfinals → Semi-Finals → Final
Mixed Doubles
- 24 teams divided into 6 groups of 4 teams
- Round Robin format
Advancement:
- Top 2 teams from each group advance (12 teams)
- Top 4 seeded teams receive a bye into the Quarterfinals
Knockout Stage:
- Round of 12 → Quarterfinals → Semi-Finals → Final
7. Group Ranking Criteria
Teams shall be ranked based on the following order:
- Number of Matches Won
- Point Difference (Points Scored – Points Conceded)
- Head-to-Head Result
- Random Draw (if required)
8. Match Regulations
- All players are required to report punctually to their assigned courts.
- A 10-minute delay will result in an automatic walkover.
- Matches will be self-officiated, except where otherwise specified.
- The Tournament Director reserves the right to intervene and make final decisions in the event of disputes.
- All matches shall be conducted in accordance with USA Pickleball rules, unless otherwise stated.
9. Paddle Regulations
- All paddles must comply with USA Pickleball standards
- The Organizer reserves the right to inspect or request a paddle change if necessary
10. Organizer Rights & Disclaimer
- The Organizer reserves the right to amend, modify, or revise the tournament format, schedule, rules, and prize pool at any time without prior notice, if deemed necessary.
- Any updates or changes will be communicated through official communication channels.
- The Organizer’s decision shall be final and binding in all matters relating to the tournament, including disputes and eligibility.
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances (including but not limited to weather conditions, technical issues, or insufficient participation), the Organizer reserves the right to reschedule, restructure, or cancel the event or any part thereof.
- Any participant found not meeting the eligibility requirements will be disqualified from the tournament, and no refund will be provided under any circumstances.
11. Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to uphold good sportsmanship, integrity, and respect towards fellow players, officials, and event staff at all times.
