🏆 Tournament Information
The Pickle Sky Pickleball Cup is a two-day event held in Kuantan, Pahang, bringing together pickleball enthusiasts from across Malaysia and abroad for a weekend of competitive matches and community engagement.
The tournament is structured to promote fair and competitive matchups across different skill levels, with DUPR-based categories to ensure balanced play. Special attention is given to the Novice Men’s Doubles category, which is carefully protected so genuine beginner players can compete in a fair environment. Eligibility and rating integrity will be verified to maintain the spirit of the division.
Beyond the competition, players get to enjoy Kuantan’s hospitality, local food, and attractions while enjoying a vibrant sporting event.
A lucky draw will also be held during the tournament, where every participant will have a fair chance to win exciting prizes including a brand new Joola Pro V Kosmos!
Open to players of various skill levels, the tournament welcomes everyone to compete, connect with the pickleball community, and enjoy the game in a fun and sporting atmosphere.

Registration is limited to 32 teams per category, except for Novice MD.

*ALL DUPR ratings & podium history will be recorded at the time of registration, players's DUPR rating can fluctuate after registration is confirmed.
Novice Category Rules (Important)
The Novice Men’s Doubles category is intended for beginner players.
Participants must maintain fair DUPR rating history & NO podium history. STRICTLY NO BUAYA.
The organizer will review DUPR records within the last 3 months.
If any player is found to violate the eligibility rules:
- The team will be disqualified
- Registration fees will not be refunded
Players with higher DUPR are encouraged to register for the Intermediate Men’s Doubles category instead.

Tournament Format
Each category will consist of:
- 32 teams; 48 teams for Novice MD
- 8 groups of 4 teams; 12 groups of 4 teams for Novice MD
- Round robin group stage
Top 2 teams from each group advance to the knockout stage. Additional 8 best 3rd place teams from all groups to advance from Novice MD, should there be a tie, coin toss or ballot will be used for decider.
Match Format
Group Stage / Round of 32 / Round of 16 / Quarterfinal
- Rally scoring to 15 points, sudden death (knock out stage onwards serve to win)
- 1 game
Semifinal & 3rd Place Match
- Rally scoring to 21 points, serve to win
- 1 game
Final
- Best of 3 games
- Rally scoring to 15 points, serve to win
Each team can call for a 1-minute time out from knockout stage onwards.
The organizer may adjust the format if necessary to ensure the tournament runs on schedule.
Registration & Eligibility
- Registration closes 8 May 2026
- Entry is first-paid, first-confirmed
- Open to Malaysian and international players
- Players must be 18 years old or above
- DUPR rating will be verified, reliability at least 70%
The organizer may move players to the appropriate category if rating limits are exceeded.
All registration fees are strictly non-refundable once payment has been made.
Important Rules
- Players must report within 5 minutes when their match is called
- Failure to report may result in match forfeiture
- All finalized match results are final
Disputes must be raised before or during the match.
Equipment
- USAPA - approved paddles only.
- Official tournament ball will be provided by the organizer.
Liability
Players participate at their own risk.
The organizer, venue, and sponsors shall not be responsible for:
- injuries
- accidents
- loss of personal belongings
Organizer Rights
The organizer reserves the right to:
- Adjust schedules or match formats
- Verify player eligibility
- Disqualify players who violate rules
All organizer decisions are final.
Agreement
By registering for the tournament, participants agree to abide by all tournament rules and conditions.
