📌 LAC Pickleball Championship 2026
The LAC Pickleball Championship 2026 is a premier competitive pickleball tournament organized by PLAYA Racquet Club, bringing together both local and international players for an exciting day of high-level competition and community engagement.

🏆 Categories & Eligibility
The tournament is open to players aged 28 years old and above, with categories divided based on DUPR ratings:
Novice (DUPR ≤ 2.999)
- Men’s Doubles
- Women’s Doubles
- Mixed Doubles
Intermediate (DUPR ≤ 3.499)
- Men’s Doubles
- Women’s Doubles
All players must provide a valid DUPR ID (or self-assess if unrated), subject to organizer verification.

- Novice: RM125 per pax
- Intermediate: RM150 per pax
🥇 Prize Breakdown
Novice Categories (MD / WD / MXD):
- 🥇 Champion: RM2,500 + LAC products worth RM1,000
- 🥈 1st Runner-Up: RM1,450 + LAC products worth RM700
- 🥉 2nd Runner-Up: RM500 + LAC products worth RM400
Intermediate Categories (MD / WD):
- 🥇 Champion: RM3,000 + LAC products worth RM1,500
- 🥈 1st Runner-Up: RM2,000 + LAC products worth RM1,000
- 🥉 2nd Runner-Up: RM1,000 + LAC products worth RM600
Note: Prizes may be adjusted accordingly if the category does not meet the targeted entries
🎮 Tournament Format
The competition consists of Group Stage + Knockout Stage:
- Group Stage:
- Rally scoring to 15 points (sudden death)
- Knockout Stage (Round of 32 onwards):
- Rally scoring to 21 points (sudden death)
- General Format:
- 1 set per match
- No deuce (sudden death applies)
- 1 timeout per team (1 minute)
🗓️ Tournament Schedule (13 June 2026)
- 8:00 AM – 12:10 PM: Men’s Doubles Novice
- 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM: Women’s Doubles Novice
- 12:10 PM – 3:40 PM: Men’s Doubles Intermediate
- 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM: Women’s Doubles Intermediate
- 3:00 PM – 6:50 PM: Mixed Doubles Novice
📏 Rules & Gameplay Highlights
- Early rounds are self-refereed, with Match Officials available
- Semifinals & Finals will have appointed referees
- Players must announce score before serve
- Line calls are made by players, disputes may be escalated
- Matches must start within 5 minutes, with a 10-minute grace period before walkover
⚖️ Tie-Breaking Criteria (Group Stage)
If teams have identical records, ranking is determined by:
- Total points scored
- Point differential
- Head-to-head result

- Strict eligibility enforcement (age & DUPR)
- Disqualification may result in voided matches or revoked titles
- No refunds once registration is confirmed
- No partner changes after first match

Players are expected to maintain sportsmanship and professionalism.
Prohibited behaviors include:
- Abuse, taunting, or misconduct
- Equipment abuse
- Deliberate delays
Violations may result in warnings, penalties, or disqualification.
